These are few slogans heard these days with awakening launch of nationwide campaign of “Save Girl
Child” by our Hon’ble Prime
Minister Shri Narender Modi ji. This has opened the eyes of society with the true facts of dropping ratio of boys versus girls i.e 10 : 7 which is an alarming signal for Indian social setup . Many celebrities and
learned people have joined hands for it to make this campaign a success. Madhuri
Dixit is the brand ambassdor for this project. Below is the story of my own
childhood memories , which is itself an example of that girls are not curse and
no less than boys.
Now being a IVF
specialist , if I recall back at my own personal story and my childhood memories I feel on the top of
the world to have been blessed with good parents . I have been brought up in
a middle-class family setup, from a very small town of U.P , Khekra, but very lucky to have such a open minded and
educated parents for whom we four sisters were
not a burden.They made education our weapon and we all succeeded in our career. We were
provided with all oppurtunities that are given to boys. I was always inclined
to study in science stream but in our
girls school there was no science , so I was admitted in boys school which was
a revolutionary step itself in small town , khekra , and soon other girls of our town joined me in
that school . I completed my higher secondary with a place in UP Board’s merit
list than got into BHU for my MBBS
and after that did all my higher
studies further. My other sisters too are doing best in their career my parents
have proven in Khekra that ,if we are dertermined no one can stop us to achieve
the goal. Today my parents are very proud of their 4 daughters and say that
they are the happiest persons in the world.My intention to convey that we should give equal oppurtunities to girl child and
girls make parents much happier than any
boy will do.
